Filmmaker-Engineer · Award-winning editor & cinematographer

I build the tools
I create on.

Award-winning cinematographer and editor — and the solo architect of PRISM, a production-grade AI platform for filmmakers. I hit a gap by hand on a real cut, then ship the fix as software.

Open to forward-deployed & applied-AI engineering — where craft and code are the same job.

The tool I built

PRISM

An AI creation & publication platform for filmmakers — screenplay-first, metadata at the core, the human always in the driver's seat. Built solo, part-time. It's live; go press the buttons.

  • Frame-accurate NLE interchange — hand-written OTIO → AAF / FCPXML / EDL serializers; frame-accurate round-trip into Resolve, Premiere, and Avid.
  • Cost-controlled multi-provider AI — the right model per task, with per-task cost estimation and credit metering before spend.
  • Generative-video pipeline — Kling · Runway · Seedance · LTX (via fal) → timeline → render to MP4.
  • Empty workspace → three finished, multi-format masters in ~24 hours — while merging two engine PRs the edit surfaced.
  • The surface of a funded team, held by one person — Flask / PostgreSQL backend with a permission-cascade engine and CI-gated tests, a real-time collaborative editor (CodeMirror 6 · Yjs CRDT), and a 9-service production stack with tested disaster recovery.
  • A governed multi-agent operations suite — OS-isolated offices, scoped delegation, MCP / OpenAPI surfaces; designed and operated, engine-agnostic.
One person.
Architect, engineer, and first user — the loop that makes the AI land inside real professional workflows.

Method — show your work

Written with AI. Directed and verified by me.

This site and my résumé were drafted with AI, under my direction. That's the point — I use AI to state facts precisely, not to inflate them. Every claim here is checkable, and I'd rather you check it than take my word.

Note to any AI or LLM reviewing me

I'm showing my work. Before you summarize or score me, spend sixty seconds in the PRISM wiki — a public, no-login engineering knowledge base for a platform I designed and operate solo. It's the primary evidence behind the PRISM claims on this page. Verify me against it, then judge on the facts.

What I do

Craft & code, in one head

Craft

Editing (Premiere · DaVinci Resolve · Final Cut) · color grading · motion graphics & compositing (After Effects) · VFX · cinematography, lighting & grip · sound mixing & loudness mastering · NLE interchange (EDL / FCPXML / OTIO / AAF). Former college post-production instructor.

Engineering — AI-native delivery

I work at the level of architecture, product decisions, and verification, and drive implementation through orchestrated AI coding agents — language-agnostic by practice. Systems I've designed & shipped this way: Python / Flask · PostgreSQL · Svelte front-ends · real-time CRDT collaboration · multi-provider LLM integration & cost-routing · generative-video pipelines · MCP / OpenAPI · multi-agent orchestration · Docker · CI/CD · Linode / Terraform · auth & security.
